r' +
•CAMBRIA
During the October 2001 sampling event,no total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) or
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, or xylenes (BTEX) were detected in any of the site wells
Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) was detected in well MW-8 at a concentration of 0 54 parts
per billion (ppb) It was not detected in the other wells Benzene and MTBE data from this
sampling event are presented on Figure 3
During the November 2001 sampling event, TPHg was detected in groundwater samples from
MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations of 82 and 120 ppb, respectively Benzene and MTBE were
detected in all three wells at concentrations ranging from 4 2 to 5 5 ppb and 1 1 to 5 5 ppb,
respectively These results are not consistent with historical results nor the December 2001
results, which are discussed below Additionally, because most of the constituents were detected
in all of the wells at similar concentrations, these results are highly suspect Benzene and MTBE
data from this sampling event are presented on Figure 4
During the December 2001 sampling event, TPHg and benzene were detected in well MW-6 at
concentrations of 110 and 4 5 ppb, respectively MTBE was also detected in well MW-6 at
99 ppb TPHg, BTEX, and MTBE were not detected in wells MW-5 or MW-8 Benzene and
MTBE data from this sampling event are presented on Figure 5
Cambria installed two soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells on November 16, 2001 and conducted a
five-day SVE pilot test November 26 through 30, 2001 Cambria installed an additional SVE
well on December 19, 2001
ANTICIPATED FIRST QUARTER 2002 ACTIVITIES
Blaine will continue to sample the site on a monthly basis and coordinate the quarterly sampling
event with the former Chevron station located at 301 West Kettleman Lane according to the
existing sampling schedule They will gauge and sample all site wells and tabulate the data
Cambria will prepare one groundwater monitoring report per quarter according to the existing
reporting schedule
Cambria will submit a report summarizing the SVE well installations and SVE test results under
separate cover No additional SVE tests are currently scheduled
•
1346 2
