CVRWQCB APPENDIX B CHECKLIST RESPONSES <br /> The following are responses to the checklist items contained in Appendix B of the "Tri-Regional <br /> Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground <br /> Tank Sites " <br /> 1. Distance to production wells for municipal, domestic, agriculture, industry and other uses <br /> within 2000 feet of the site; <br /> A municipal well is located immediately southeast of the site A review of Department of Water <br /> Resources records also identified two irrigation wells located approximately one-half mile from the <br /> site <br /> 2 Site maps, to scale, of area impacted showing locations of former and existing tank systems, <br /> excavation contours and sample locations, boring and monitoring well elevation contours, <br /> gradients, and nearby surface waters, buildings, streets, and subsurface utilities; <br /> A site vicinity map and a site map are included as Figures 1 and 2,respectively Soil sample locations <br /> and the UST excavation area are shown on maps in Attachment B The third quarter 2002 <br /> groundwater contour map is presented in Attachment C <br /> 3 Figures depicting lithology(cross section), treatment system diagrams, <br /> A geologic cross section is included as Attachment D A 5-day soil vapor extraction(SVE)test was <br /> conducted at the site during November 2001 No other remedial system was used or installed at this <br /> site Therefore, no system design diagrams are available <br /> 4. Stockpiled soil remaining on-site or off-site disposal(quantity), <br /> There is no stockpiled soil remaining on-site Approximately 183 tons of soil were removed from the <br /> site following tank removal activities and transported to Allied Waste's Forward Landfill in Manteca, <br /> California(Forward) on February 15, 1999 Approximately 851 tons of soil were removed from the <br /> site following tank replacement activities and transported to Forward on March 29, 1999 and <br /> May 13, 1999 During subsequent site investigations, a total of approximately 13 6 tons of soil were <br /> generated This soil was transported to Forward on March 6,2000,May 25,2001,December 4,2001, <br /> . and January 4, 2002 <br />
