FA'
4.13 Groundwater Grab Sample Collection
Groundwater grab samples will be collected from each soil boring location. The groundwater
samples will be collected from either well casing inserted into each boring or HydroPunch®-type
groundwater sampling equipment. The well casing wil I consist of 2.5-centimeter(1-inch)
diameter, Schedule 40, flush-threaded, 0.05-centimeter(0.020-inch), machine-slotted polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) well screen. The soil borings may be advanced to greater depths depending on
the groundwater conditions. If free product is encountered, product thickness will be verified
r. using a disposable bailer. Up to three methods may be used for groundwater collection and these
include the following.
• Dedicated Teflon tubing with a single-ball, stainless steel check valve; or
• A new disposable polyethylene or Teflon bailer, or stainless steel bailer; or
FA peristaltic pump and new dedicated Te on tubing.
The groundwater grab samples will be labeled, packaged, and stored on ice in an insulated chest
Ffor transport under chain-of-custody manifest to a Cali ornia-certified analytical laboratory.
Groundwater sampling procedures are presented in Appendix A.
4.4 Laboratory Analyses
The soil samples will be submitted to Creek Environm ntal Laboratories, Inc., a California-
certified analytical laboratory, for analysis. The analyses will be conducted on a normal turn-
F4 basis in general accordance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) specified
holding times. The analyses will be performed in general accordance with the following EPA
methods listed.
t
—, Matrix Analyses
. <
Soil/water Title 22 Metals Scan EPA Method 6010 j
i
Soil/water Oil and Grease EPA Method 1664
FSoil/water Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons a Gasoline Modified EPA Method 8015
Soil/water Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons ac Diesel Modified EPA Method 8015
Soil/water Aromatic and Halogenated Volatile Organics EPA 80216
d .
Soil/water Volatile Organic Compounds EPA Method 8260B
Soil/water Semi-volatile Organic Compound i EPA Method 8270C
Soil/water Organochlorine Pesticides and P Bs EPA Method 8080
F:
Soil/water Organophosphorous Pesticides EPA Method 8140
„ j -IISACRFPIkCOMMOMsacOR2007(PR.APJM831835444.2ab.dcc
. 4-3
