Additional Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> VAN BUSKIRK GOLF COURSE FACILITY <br /> 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed additional site assessment work plan for Van Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility <br /> (site) located at 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton, California(Figure 1). The work plan includes the <br /> advancement of two paired, cone penetrometer testing (CPT) soil borings for the collection of <br /> ground water samples and to characterize lithology,model potential contaminant migration pathways <br /> and to assess the vertical extent of MTBE-impacted ground water. The location of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan was prepared at the request of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD), by letter dated IS May 2003 (Appendix A), to assess the vertical and lateral <br /> extent of dissolved MTBE north of the USTs, near wells MW-4 and MW-6 and at monitoring well <br /> MW-10 (Figure 2). The work plan was prepared in accordance with California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank(UST)sites.Site background information and historical ground water data <br /> are included in Appendix B and Tables 1 and 2, respectively. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> To assess the vertical and lateral extent of MTBE-impacted ground water on the site, completion of <br /> the following tasks is required: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • CPT drilling and sample collection; <br /> • Laboratory analysis of samples <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> 2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> A site assessment boring permit will be obtained from the EHD for boring locations and <br /> encroachment permits will be obtained from the City of Stockton Public Work Department, if <br /> necessary. An update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance <br /> with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities <br /> (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. <br /> Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).Prior to mobilization,the area of excavation will be clearly <br /> marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental.Inc. <br />
