I 1
Ground Water Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 2000zll'_
.
• VAN BUSKIRK GOLF COURSE FACILITY
' 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton, California w ;/0.
. S8
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. John Fukumoto, agent for.the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
' Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for ground-water monitoring activities conducted at the Van
Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility (site) 'located at 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton,
California (Figure 1). This report presents the results of ground water monitoring activities
conducted during July 2000. The July 2000 monitoring activities represents the second round of
ground water monitoring conducted under the ground water monitoring program recommended in
the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground Water Assessment Report, dated 30 June 1999 and
't approved by the PHS-EHD.
' The purpose of the'ground water monitoring program is to monitor site ground water for seasonal
variations in elevation, gradient and flow direction, and to assess the impact of petroleum
hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenating compounds on ground water beneath the site. Site background
' information was summarized in the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground Water Assessment
Report, dated 30 June 1999. This report was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the.investigation of underground storage
' . tank (UST) sites.
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
The work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
' Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
2.1. MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
' On 14 July 2000, a ground water monitoring event was conducted at the site. The ground water
monitoring.activities included the measurement of ground water levels and collection of ground '
' water samples from.site moriitoring wells MW-3 through MW-5. A solinst water'level meter was ,
used to measure the depth-to ground water in each well relative to the tops of the well casings. After
ground water depth measurements were collected, each monitoring well was purged using a two-
stage submersible pump. Approximately 4 to 10 gallons of water were evacuated from.each
monitoring well (a minimum three casing water volumes), as appropriate for each well.
Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at 2-gallon intervals, using a Hydac water analyzer
' to monitor stabilization of these ground water parameters. Field data logs are included in Appendix
.
A. purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon drums.
n
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
