(Krazan) has prepared this addendum to
address comments in the June 23, 1998 San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division(SJCEHD)
letter. The responses to the issues noted within the June 23,1998 letter are summarized below.
Item No.1. Soil samples will be collected from 60 feet'below
p ground surface (bgs). If soil
contamination is found at 60 feet bgs, vertical investigation must continue until two
consecutively collected and analyzed five foot soil samples verify that detectable
concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons are no longer present.
Item No.I. The placement of the required monitoring wells will be based on field and laboratory data
collected from soil and groundwater sampling in"Phase One". The wells will be placed as
close to the "zero-line" of the groundwater contamination as possible so an accurate
assessment of the extent of the plume can be made. The location of the proposed
monitoring wells shown in the June 9, 1998 workplan are diagrammatic;the final location
will be based on the above-noted criteria.
