The purpose of the proposed work is to further define the lateral extent of groundwater <br /> contamination, particularly upgradient of the former UST and downgradient of monitoring well MW3. <br /> This Workplan describes the proposed methodologies for the drilling and sampling of seven soil <br /> borings. <br /> i <br /> y E <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> use of a leaking underground storage <br /> Soil and groundwater contamination is present at the site because g g g <br /> tank system. Land use in the�isite vicinity is mostly industrial and <br /> commercial intermixed with open fields. The elevation of the site is approximately 16 feet above <br /> mean sea level. Depth to groundwater at the site has fluctuated between approximately 27 to 38 <br /> feet below the ground surface (bgs). Groundwater flow ',has been predominantly toward the <br /> northeast during the six years of monitoring at this site. .
