Ms Vicky McCartney
May 23, 2005
Soil Analytical Results
On March 1, 2, and 3, 2005 seven soil bonngs were advanced at the subject site Soil samples
selected for analyses were analyzed by Argon for TPHg and BTEX No analytes of concern were
detected in any of the soil samples collected Soil analytical results are summarized in Table 2 A
copy of the laboratory report including chain of custody documentation is included in Attachment
D
Discrete Groundwater Analytical Results
Discrete groundwater samples were collected from six soil borings advanced by Ground Zero on
March 1, 2, and 3, 2005 The groundwater samples were analyzed by Argon for TPHg, BTEX,
gasoline oxygenates and additives No analytes were detected in the water samples collected
from borings SBA, SBB, SBD, and SBG Benzene was detected in the water sample collected
from boring SBF at a concentration of 4 6 parts per billion (ppb) MTBE was reported in the
groundwater sample collected from SBC at a concentration of 15 A"IThis result is considered
to be suspect since MTBE has never before been detected at the site, the age of the former UST
system does not coincide with the common use of oxygenated gasoline, and the boring was
located upgradient of the release area Discrete groundwater analytical results are summarized in
Table 3 A copy of the laboratory report including chain of custody documentation is included in
. Attachment D
Semi-Annual Groundwater Sampling Analytical Results
On March 31, 2005, groundwater samples were collected from groundwater monitoring wells
MW1 through MW3 TPHg, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes were not detected in any site well
Benzene was detected in wells MWi and MW3 at concentrations of 2 4 ppb and 250 ppb,
respectively
MTBE was not detected in the water samples collected from any site well 1,2-DCA was detected
in upgradient well MW2 at a concentration of 0 6 ppb No other gasoline oxygenates were detected
in any site wells Groundwater analytical results are summarized in Table 4 A copy of the
laboratory report including chain of custody documentation is included in Attachment E Graphs
depicting benzene concentrations over time in site wells are included in Attachment F
SUMMARY ^
Seven soil borings were advanced at the site on March 1-3, 2005 Soil and discrete groundwater
samples were collected from the borings and analyzed for the appropriate constituents of
concern The three monitoring wells at the site were sampled on March 31, 2005 Results can be
summarized as follows
G IGROUNDZEIW EISAR1200511 SAR05bonngreport doc
0
