Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> (209) 468-3420 <br /> C (DPY <br /> MARGARET EKHOLM J U L 0 81994 <br /> P O BOX 247 <br /> ESCALON CA 95320 <br /> RE: Ekholm Property SITE CODE: 1955 <br /> 1702 Jackson Street <br /> Escalon, Ca <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS/EHD) has completed the review of the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) <br /> dated July 6, 1994, submitted by RESNA, and has the following comments <br /> for your consideration. <br /> The information in the CAP appears to satisfy the requirements of the <br /> California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16, Article 11. <br /> State Water Resources Control Board resolution # 68-16 (maintenance of <br /> the high quality of the waters of the State) requires dischargers to restore or <br /> protect the water resources of the State to original background levels. <br /> Components of gasoline do not naturally occur in groundwater in this area <br /> so the initial cleanup levels for underground tank sites is below current <br /> detection limits for these constituents. <br /> However, the groundwater data collected to date for this site has not <br /> confirmed an impact to groundwater from the documented soil <br /> contamination. Therefore, the cleanup of the soils at the site should protect <br /> groundwater from a possible future impact of hydrocarbons. The results of <br /> the feasibility testing show the remedial alternative of vapor extraction to be <br /> A Di%ision or San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
