swof
Revised Proposal and Estimated Budget No. P15362.00
Ekholm Property, Escalon, CA
• Task 3. Backfill and Compact Former Gasoline Tank Excavation
• Task 4. Drill/Install 3 Vapor Extraction Wells and 3 Monitoring Wells
0 Task 5. Survey, Develop and Sample Monitoring Wells
0 Task 6. Conduct a One Day Vapor Extraction Test (VET)
0 Task 7. Preparation of Summary Report
Task 1. Preparation of Workplan
This task includes preparation of a workplan for submittal to San Joaquin County Public Health
Services (SJCPHS) and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) for their
review and approval. The workplan will provide a project description and outline the field
methods and procedures that will be employed to complete tasks 2 through 6, as described
below.
Task 2. Held Work Preparation and Permitting and Modification of Site Safety Plan
This task includes scheduling of field personnel and equipment; obtaining appropriate permits,
if necessary; modifying the present Site Safety Plan to include all additional field activities; and
other field preparation and job start-up activities.
Task 3. Backfill and Compact Former Gasoline Tank Excavation
RESNA proposes to backfill the existing open excavation from the removal of the gasoline
storage tanks. Stockpiled soil originally excavated from the pit and additional clean fill will be
placed into the excavation and compacted to 90% compaction. Subsequent to compaction the
backfilled pit will be covered with a relatively impermeable asphalt layer to mitigate any surface
runoff which may promote downward migration of petroleum hydrocarbons. Costs for asphalt
have not been included due to the problems associated with estimating quantity of asphalt needed
at this stage.
A total of one hundred cubic yards of self-compacting fill will be imported to the site for
placement into the former gasoline tank excavations. In the event that additional clean fill is
needed, it will be charged to the client on a time and materials basis.
Task 4. Drill and Install 3 Vapor Extraction Wells and 3 Monitoring Wells
Under this task, work performed would include: scheduling of equipment; other field preparation
activities such as location of underground utilities; mobilization to the site; advance three soil
borings and complete them as three vapor extraction wells; covering the drill cuttings and
cleaning-up the site; demobilization.
Fkhohn Proposal Disk '
P362-REV-2 2
