.41 <br /> 1� 7orking Yo ReN <br /> store ature <br /> 1710 Main Street <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 <br /> April 22, 1994 <br /> Ms. Linda Turkatte <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, January through March 1994, Ekholm <br /> Property, 1702 Jackson, Escalon, California <br /> Dear Ms. Turkatte <br /> This correspondence is submitted on behalf of Mrs Margaret Ekholm to present the results of <br /> groundwater monitoring and sampling at the above referenced site (PIate 1) <br /> Groundwater monitoring was conducted on March 11 and 29, 1994 by RESNA personnel <br /> Groundwater elevation data are summarized in Table 1 On March 29, 1994 static groundwater <br /> levels measured in the four site wells ranged from 67 23 to 67 72 feet below the tops of the well <br /> casings A gradient map for the March 29, 1994 monitoring event is shown on Plate 2 Well <br /> MW 1 was not included in the gradient calculations because the well casing is bent, therefore the <br /> groundwater elevation measurement in MW1 may not reflect the actual water table elevation <br /> Groundwater flow on March 29, 1994 was to the west at a magnitude of 0 0016 ft/ft <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW1, MW2 and MW3 on March 11, 1994, <br /> well MW4 was covered by a soil pile from a recent excavation and was inaccessible A <br /> groundwater sample was subsequently collected from well MW4 on March 29, 1994 <br /> Prior to sampling, at least four well casing volumes were purged from each well All purged <br /> water was contained in a labeled DOT approved drum and stored on site pending laboratory <br /> analyses Groundwater samples were collected after stabilization of pH, electrical conductivity <br /> (EC) and temperature (Attachment 1). The samples were collected using dedicated, disposable <br /> bailers Subsequent to collection, the samples were placed on ice, secured, and transported <br />!j under chain-of-custody protocol to State-certified Sequoia Analytical in Redwood City, <br /> California The water samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes <br /> 150047NQUARTLYIIQR-1994 FNL �j� <br />
