Your complaint will be referred to the appropriate agency for
investigation. Your complaint tracking number is COMP-47121.
A summary of the information you provided is provided below. If you need to correct any
information or have questions about your complaint, please send your request or questions
to complaints@calepa.ca.gov.
Thank you for taking the time to notify us of your concern.
Description: A hazardous waste transporter, Temarry Recycling, registration number
6311, is parking trailers full of hazardous waste for 2-3 days at the Sugar Rd address listed
below. I discussed the issue with Larry Burton, CEO, 619-456-1254 and suggested that
his transporter permit should indicate locations where his trailers are parked. DTSC form
187, the transporter application with DTSC, has section 9 to list "all locations at which
you regularly park any of your vehicles used to transport hazardous waste". Larry stated
that his legal consultant did not believe that the Sugar Rd address needs to be listed. I'd
like the DTSC hazardous waste transporter unit to review this information and determine
if the Temarry Recycling transporter permit needs to be updated with the Sugar Rd
address.
Date/Time of Occurrence: 2/5/2020 12:05 PM
