. A-3
I
5.0 SURVEY AND GROUND WATER LEVELS
Following installation of the monitoring wells, the top of the well casing and the ground surface
elevation will be surveyed. The vertical elevation of each casing:will be surveyed to within 0.01
foot, allowing correlation of water levels between each well at the site. After the survey is complete,
the depth to water will be measured in each well to within 001 foot using an electronic water level
indicator.
r
,I
6.0 MONITORING WELL DEVELOPMENT AND GROUND WATER SAMPLING
After installation, the new monitoring wells will be developed by utilizing a surge block followed by
i bailing or pumping a sufficient volume of water to insure representative water sample quality.
During the course of development the ground water levels will be recorded. After the development
water is purged from the wells and the water levels have sufficiently recharged, ground water samples
will be collected from each well with a dedicated, disposable Teflon bailer. Each sample will be
appropriately labeled and stored on ice from the time of collection through the time of delivery to the
laboratory. The ground water samples will be submitted to a California-certified laboratory and
analyzed for BTEX and TPH concentrations. Ground water.9enerated during the well development
and sampling will be stored on site in a labeled 55-gallon drum until an approved method of disposal
is determined.
•'i
j
i
I
.i
jj
i
;
 !!i
LRP 129.SJH I
