An owner or 9perator who continued to operate non-upgraded UST systems after the <br /> December 22, 1998'&adline in violation of the law and in reckless disregard of the <br /> consequences will liave their claim denied. You must demonstrate that the following actions <br /> were completed prior to December 22, 1998: <br /> I. Operation of USTs had ceased. <br /> 2. USTs were emptied. <br /> 3. Claimant applied for a temporary/permanent closure permit for the USTs. <br /> NOTE: Please respond to this request within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of this <br /> letter so that we may determine the eligibility of your claim. <br /> If you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 227-4411.
