U2rown -not C-Idwell <br /> I0 I ( 4i�'i; C} g d i AI j h t 11 <br /> kIlII <br /> ly <br /> 1, r; OPT 18 PM 1: 5 4 <br /> October 14 1993 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> Post Office Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo California 94402 017-7484-0111 <br /> Subject Second 1993 Quarterly Report for ARCO Station 434 <br /> 501 Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California: Site Code 1341 <br /> Dear Mr Carmel <br /> This report presents groundwater monitoring result,, and Summarizes the progress of the soil <br /> vapor and groundwater extraction and treatment operations for the second quarter of 1993 at <br /> ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Station 434, located at 501 Kettleman Lane in Lodi <br /> California Monitoring was performed on May 25 and 26 1993, by Emcon Associates <br /> (Emcon) The remediation system data were collected by Brown and Caldwell personnel <br /> This report was prepared under Task Order 434-93-5 <br /> There are six on-site monitoring wells (W-IA, W-2, W-2A, W-2B, W-3, and W-9) and eight <br /> off-site monitoring wells (W-4, W-5, W-6, W-7, W-8, W-10, W-11, and W-12) (Figure 1) <br /> All monitoring wells were measured and sampled except W-2 (due to an obstruction), and <br /> W-2A and W-4 (due to lack of water) W-2 appears to be bio-touled, and several attempts <br /> to mechanically unplug it have not been successful Additionally, well W-12 was sampled <br /> on April 23 1993 The purpose of this sampling was to confirm the absence of hydrocarbons <br /> in this well prior to the City of Lodi pumping from municipal well 12, located approximately <br /> 50 feet south of W-12 <br /> Field and Analytical Methods <br /> Emcon personnel measured depth-to-water, purged each well, and collected groundwater <br /> samples at the site Static water levels were measured prior to purging Prior to sampling, <br /> the wells were purged of a minimum of three well volumes, or until evacuated, using a <br /> polyvinyl chloride bailer After purging, each well was sampled using a teflon bailer that was <br /> steam-cleaned between uses Field data sheets and chain-of-custody forms are included in <br /> Exhibit A <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with the standards of the environmental consulling industry at the time it was <br /> prepared It should not be relied upon by parties other than those for whom it was prepared and then only to the <br /> e%tent of the scope of work which was authorized Phis report does not guarantee that anv additional environmental <br /> conditions beyond that described in this report exist at this site <br /> 7484\PEPORTSIMAY93QTR RPT <br />
