Fieldwork was performed by Groundwater
Technology, Inc. (GTI) on December 19, 1994. The remediation system data were collected
by Brown and Caldwell personnel. This report was prepared under Task Order 434-94-5.
There are six on-site monitoring wells (W-1A, W-2, W-2A, W-213, W-3, and W-9) and eight
off-site monitoring wells (W-4, W-5, W-6, W-7, W-8, W-10, W-11, and W-12) as shown on
Figure 1. In addition, there are eight soil vapor extraction wells (VE-1 through VE-8) on site.
Field and Analytical Methods
GTI personnel measured depth-to-water and product thickness (when present), purged each
well to be sampled, and collected groundwater samples at the site. All groundwater
monitoring wells were sampled except W-2, W-4, and W-10. Well W-2's casing was
obstructed, well W-4 was dry,and well W-10 was inaccessible. Depth-to-water measurements
and a check for free product were made prior to purging.
Before sampling, the wells were purged of a minimum of three well casing volumes, or until
evacuated, using a submersible pump or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bailer. After purging, each
well was sampled using a disposable bailer. All groundwater samples were analyzed for
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline (TPH-G) by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 503018020, and
8015 Modified. Field data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are included in
Exhibit A.
This report was prepared in accordance with the standards of the environmental consulting industry at the time it was
prepared. It should not be relied upon by parties other than those for whom it was prepared, and then only to the
•1 extent of the scope of work which was authorized- This report does not guarantee that no additional environmental
contamination beyond that described in this report exists at the site.
Environmental Engineering And Consulting-Analytical Services
9616 M 1 C R 0 AFFNUE, 5U.ITE 600, SACRA'iENT0, CA 95827-262713194ZFP01zTSS4TH94gMJtPT
(916) 444.0123 FAX (916) 856-5277
t
