Brown and Caldwell <br /> Consultants '; <br /> 723 5 Street <br /> Sacramento MAY 13 1992 <br /> ! <br /> Calrfomia958147092 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> FAX(916) <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> FAX{916)444 8437 <br /> May 11, 1992 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> Post Office Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, Cahfonua 94402 017-6731-04/1 <br /> Subject Quarterly Report for ARCO Station 434, 501 Kettleman Lane, <br /> Lodi, California: Site Code 1341 <br /> Dear Mr Carmel <br /> Thus report presents water levels and analytical results of groundwater sampling performed <br /> on February 10 and 11, 1992, at ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Station 434, located at <br /> 501 Kettleman Lane in Lodi, California There are six on-site monntonng wells (W-IA, W-2, <br /> W-2A,W-2B,W-3, and W-9) and eight off-site monitoring wells (W-4,W-5,W-6, W-7, W-8, <br /> W-10, W-11, and W-12) (Figure 1) All monitoring wells were sampled except W-2 which <br /> had an obstruction that prevented sampling, and W-4, which was dry <br /> Field and Analytical Methods <br /> Emcon Associates personnel measured depth-to-water, purged each well, and collected <br /> groundwater samples at the site Static water levels were measured prior to purging and a <br /> check for floating product was also made at this time Prior to sampling, the wells were <br /> purged of a minimum of three well volumes using a submersible pump or bailer After <br /> purging, each well was sampled with a Teflon bailer <br /> All groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH-G) <br /> and benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylenes (BETX) by U S Environmental Protection <br /> Agency (EPA) Methods 5030/DHS LUFr <br /> Results <br /> The general groundwater flow direction is to the south under a hydraulic gradient of <br /> approximately 0 002. Water-level data are shown in Table 1 Groundwater flow directions <br /> and gradients are shown in Table 2 Groundwater elevation contours and the groundwater <br /> flow direction for February 1992, are shown on Figure 1 <br /> Present quarter and previous analytical results for groundwater are summarized in Table 3 <br /> The February 1992 analytical results are shown on Figure 2 The complete laboratory report <br /> and the chain-of-custody form for the February 1992, sampling is presented In Exhibit A <br /> 6731NREP0RTSIFEB92Q IRypr <br />
