SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN <br /> BC - ARCO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PROGRAM <br /> ARCO RETAIL FACILITIES <br /> PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> This site safety and health plan has been prepared by Brown and Caldwell (BC) for the BC - <br /> ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Northern California Program which consists of numerous <br /> ARCO Retail Facility sites The ARCO sates are represented by Mr Kyle Christie, Mr Chuck <br /> Carmel, and Mr Make Whelan Mr Steve Misner and Mr. Matt Turner serve as ARCO <br /> Program Managers, and Mr Ron Zurlmden serves as the Technical Coordinator BC wall be on- <br /> site to perform a variety of tasks The tasks are outlined in Appendix A. Site specific tasks are <br /> managed by assigned BC Project Managers <br /> KEY PERSONNEL AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> A last of the program saes and project managers is included as Appendix B. Ms. Pamela <br /> Murcell, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), is the health and safety director (HSD) BC <br /> personnel meeting the additional training requirements, will be designated for each site, to <br /> perform site duties and to function as the site safety officer (SSO) The project field staff have <br /> completed 40 hours of comprehensive health and safety training which meets the requirements <br /> of Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910 120 (29 CFR 1910 120). The SSO has the <br /> authority to monitor and correct health and safety problems as noticed on site <br /> Program Manager and Technical Coordinator Responsibilities <br /> Mr Ron Zurlinden is the technical coordinator (TC) and Messrs Steve Misner and Matt Turner <br /> serve as program managers (PM) The PM and the TC are responsible for the direct <br /> communication between BC and ARCO The PM and TC are also responsible for program <br /> administration and distributing relevant ARCO information to BC project staff <br /> The PM is responsible for generating, organizing, and compiling the site safety and health plan <br /> (SSHP) which describes planned field activities and potential hazards that may be encountered <br /> at the sates. The PM is also responsible for assuring that adequate training and safety briefings <br /> for the project are provided to the project team. The PM will provide a copy of this SSHP to <br /> each member of the project field team. <br /> HSD Responsibilities <br /> The HSD is responsible for developing and coordinating the Brown and Caldwell (BC) health <br /> and safety program.
