SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN BC - ARCO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PROGRAM ARCO RETAIL FACILITIES PROJECT SUMMARY This site safety and health plan has been prepared by Brown and Caldwell (BC) for the BC - ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Northern California Program which consists of numerous ARCO Retail Facility sites The ARCO sates are represented by Mr Kyle Christie, Mr Chuck Carmel, and Mr Make Whelan Mr Steve Misner and Mr. Matt Turner serve as ARCO Program Managers, and Mr Ron Zurlmden serves as the Technical Coordinator BC wall be on- site to perform a variety of tasks The tasks are outlined in Appendix A. Site specific tasks are managed by assigned BC Project Managers KEY PERSONNEL AND RESPONSIBILITIES A last of the program saes and project managers is included as Appendix B. Ms. Pamela Murcell, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), is the health and safety director (HSD) BC personnel meeting the additional training requirements, will be designated for each site, to perform site duties and to function as the site safety officer (SSO) The project field staff have completed 40 hours of comprehensive health and safety training which meets the requirements of Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910 120 (29 CFR 1910 120). The SSO has the authority to monitor and correct health and safety problems as noticed on site Program Manager and Technical Coordinator Responsibilities Mr Ron Zurlinden is the technical coordinator (TC) and Messrs Steve Misner and Matt Turner serve as program managers (PM) The PM and the TC are responsible for the direct communication between BC and ARCO The PM and TC are also responsible for program administration and distributing relevant ARCO information to BC project staff The PM is responsible for generating, organizing, and compiling the site safety and health plan (SSHP) which describes planned field activities and potential hazards that may be encountered at the sates. The PM is also responsible for assuring that adequate training and safety briefings for the project are provided to the project team. The PM will provide a copy of this SSHP to each member of the project field team. HSD Responsibilities The HSD is responsible for developing and coordinating the Brown and Caldwell (BC) health and safety program.
