In November 1987, two additional off-site monitoring <br /> wells were installed as part of the ongoing site investigation at ARCO Petroleum Products <br /> Company (ARCO) Service Station 434, located in Lodi, California. The San Joaquin Loc at <br /> Health District (County) approved Brown and Caldwell's (BC) work plan (enclosed as Exhibit <br /> A) on October 20, 1987. The two wells were installed on Mervyn's property. The purpose <br /> ! of the two additional wells was to better define the extent of the hydrocarbon plume west <br /> of Station 434. <br /> i <br /> Background <br /> There are a total of eight monitoring wells on- and off site. Locations of all wells are E <br /> shown on Figure 1. Also shown on Figure 1 are No,/ember 18 1987 groundwater elevations <br /> e for the area:. Wells W-1, W-2, and W-3 were installed in April 1987 <br /> . Results of the April <br /> r :' 1987 work were presented in BC's May 21, 1987, Problem Assessment Report (Appendix 1). <br /> t Wells W-4, W-5, and W-6 were installed in July 1987.
