v
2-7
Water levels were measured in wells W-1,W-2,W-lA, W-3,W-9, and W-2A periodically
during the pumping. Appendix C provides the aquifer test data forms for each well.
The water level in E-1 was measured using a dedicated ORS interface tape. Water levels
in the observation wells were measured using a single marine moisture interface tape
decontaminated between each well. Pump rates were calculated by dividing the reading from a
continuous flow gauge (in gallons) by the transpired time.
` Trenching and Piping;
Vapor and groundwater extraction piping and valves were;installed by Triangle Construction
a;the site from April 23, 1990,to May 10, 1990. The pip'mg and valves will be used to transmit
i fM gasoline vapors to a vapor treatment system, and the groundwater to the groundwater treatment
is system, both to be installed in the future.
All piping; consisted of either 4-inch or 6-inch-diameter Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride '
,. (PVC)buried below grade. All piping runs with a 0.002 slope(away from the wells) to the near
of the station.
Each vapor well was completed at the surfece with a prerast concrete box measuring 30 in
! x 48 ui x 30 in deep with a locking traffic-rated cover.
-: Figure 2-2 is a site plan nor the vapor extraction system.
i
L ,Al
t j
l 1
k 222 1
