See
Appendix.
5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test hole was
prepared per County Standards. The hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in
diameter. The hole was backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel".
5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using
industry standard protocol. The Soil in this area is classified as Hollenbeck Silty Clay as
stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of
Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soil
is classified as Hollenbeck Silty Clay in this area and has a permeability that is moderately well
drained. The percolation rate was 41.7 min/in. (See Appendix.)
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
test holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each
parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared on the proposed parcel.
6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including
depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak
(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches
in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards.
The shallow hole was prepared by Joel Montano of Dillon & Murphy on November 24, 2019 at
7:00 a.m. On November 24, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. Six inches of water
was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the
minimum County requirements.
6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix
for Test Results Form.
3
