Stimce Station No. 2076, Located at <br /> 800 East Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California <br /> Dear Mr Christie <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (. IRCO), EMCON is conducting an environmental <br /> investigation at the subject site (see Figure 1) We have prepared dm'status report on the work <br /> conducted during the third quarter 1995, which included measuring depths tp groundwater, <br /> collecting groundwater samples from the wells for subjective and laboratory analyses, and <br /> calculating the groundwater gradient and direcgon of groundwater flow beneath the site. i <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Work performed prior to this quarter included' "ming 19 soil borings and installing <br /> 4 groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) and 7-vapor extraction wells (VW-1 <br /> through VW-7) (RESNA Industries, Inc , [RESNA], Junc 26, 1992 and RESNA, April 15, 1993). <br /> The locations of the soil bonngs, wells, and other-site features are presented on Figure 2 Residual <br /> hydrocarbons were analytically identified in soil samples collected from borings near the tank <br /> cavity and dispenser island <br /> RESNA (formerly Applied GeoSystems) performed a vapor extraction test on July 30, 1991 <br /> (RESNA, September 12, 1991) In November 1991; RESNA observed the removal of five <br /> gasoline storage tanks and associated product lines, ar►d' excavation,of a new tank cavity <br /> (RESNA, June 26, 1992) ARCO's contractors installed new tanks in the tank cavity east of the <br /> station building in November 1991, <br /> ARCO iiutiated groundwater monitoring in October 1992. Results-leave indicated that dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons have not been detected in groundwater, w#(the the exception of total xylenes, which <br /> were detected in well MW-3,at a concentration of 0 T part per billion (ppb) during the fourth <br /> quarter 1993 <br /> SAC\!\PJUMO"8051440 2CS-95\pu 1 <br />
