1 <br /> WAW�W <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> f <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive,Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova,CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916) 852-6690 <br /> FAX (916)852-6688 <br /> I <br /> July 2, 1993 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Subject Status Report, Second Quarter 1993, ARCO Service Station No 2076, 800 <br /> East Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California <br /> Mr. Carmel: <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), RESNA Industries (RESNA) has <br /> prepared this status report on work conducted during the second quarter 1993 at the subject <br />' site (see Plate 1) Work performed during this quarter included ground-water monitoring <br /> EMCON Associates (EMCON) of Sacramento, California, was contracted by ARCO to <br /> perform field sampling of ground-water monitoring wells, EMCON subsequently forwarded <br /> their field notes and the laboratory reports to RESNA Field work included measuring <br /> depths to water and collecting ground-water samples for subjective and laboratory analyses. <br />' RESNA is also measuring depths to water and conducting subjective analyses of ground <br /> water approximately one month between quarterly ground-water monitoring events for four <br /> months RESNA used these data to evaluate the direction and gradient of ground-water <br /> flow beneath the site The locations of the monitoring wells are shown on Plate 2 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In October 1990, RESNA observed the drilling of three soil borings near the tank complex <br /> and two soil borings east of the station building in the area of the proposed new tanks <br /> (Applied GeoSystems, December 18, 1990) In July 1991, RESNA observed drilling of three <br /> additional soil borings and installation of three vapor-extraction wells RESNA performed <br /> a vapor-extraction test on July 30, 1991 (RESNA, September 12, 1991) In November 1991, <br /> RESNA observed the removal of five gasoline-storage tanks and associated product lines <br /> (RESNA, June 26, 1992) In November 1991, RESNA observed the excavation of the new <br /> tank cavity (RESNA, June 26, 1992). In November 1991, ARCO's contractors installed new <br /> tanks in the tank cavity east of the station building In October 1992, RESNA observed <br /> 0507ccar <br /> 30008-7 <br /> 1 <br />
