i <br /> April 15, 1993 Working To Restore Nature <br /> ARCO Service Station No 2076, Lodi, California <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The following summarizes the findings gathered during this investigation and previous work <br /> performed at the site <br /> o Soil with residual gasoline hydrocarbons appears to be limited to the vicinity <br />► of the former gasoline tank cavity (to a depth of less than 31 feet below <br /> grade) and product dispenser islands (to approximately 6 feet below grade, <br /> with the exception of soil boring B-15, which contained TPHg at <br /> concentration of 11 ppm at 36 feet below grade) <br /> r <br /> I <br /> I <br /> o Vapor extraction is a feasible remedial alternative at the site <br /> i <br /> . o The ground-water surface beneath the site is approximately 52 feet below <br /> grade In October 1992, the ground-water flow direction was toward the <br /> northwest with a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 02 <br /> o Ground water beneath the site has not been impacted by hydrocarbons Total <br /> and fecal coliform bacteria were not detected in the ground-water sample <br /> collected from monitoring well MW-4, however, nitrate was detected at a <br /> concentration of 4 3 ppm to this well <br /> 3M-5 11 <br />
