Soil Sampling=for
Unocal Service Station #6015
601 E. Kettleman Lane
Lodi California
Dear Mr. Sisk:
This letter report summarizes the results of the stockpiled soil
sampling and laboratory analyses for the referenced site. The soil
analyses were conducted to comply with the County Health Department
requirements for proper disposal of contaminated soil.
On April 4, 1991, soil samples were taken from approximately 350
cubic yards of aerated, stockpiled soil (previously sampled as half
of Co-op B, half of Comp C, Comp E, Comp G, Comp H, Comp I, Comp J
and Comp K) to determine proper disposal of the sail. The
e soil samples were originally collected
aforementioned composit
using a sampling frequency of one composite sample per 50 cubic yF`y
yards of stockpiled soil However, after aeration of the sail, the v
seri; „oatluin_;_County„-Local Heal tl Drs.11., rbc u regi a_ stockpile
Man.---- -
sampl ;zq frequenr:.y,of'.one:'_c`omposite per. 25 cubic yards. Therefore,
12 composite soil samples (designated as Comp 1, and Comp 4 through
Comp 14) were taken from the 300 cubic yards of aerated stockpiled
soil. On this same date, six composite soil samples were taken
from 150 cubic yards of additional aerated and separately stock-
piled soil (previously sampled as Comp W through Camp Z, Comp AA
and Comp BB) . This soil was originally sampled at a rate of one
composite sample per 25 cubic yards. The six composite samples
collected after aeration were labeled Gomp 15, Come 16 comp 17,
Comp 18, Comp 19 and Comp 20. The samples were collected in two-
inch diameter, clean brass tubes, which were then sealed with
aluminum foil, Plastic caps and tape, and placed in a cooled ice
chest for subsequen-c delivery to a certified laboratory for
analysis. All samples were analyzed at Sequoia Analytical
Laboratory in Concord, California, and iere accompanied bylpropirly
ons
---------------____-- -------. -----.... executed Chain of Custody documentation• Sample
are as shown on point
the attached Site an, l
