The results of the soil analyses are summarized in Tables
5 and 6.
To comply with the requirements of the regulatory agencies and
based on the analytical results, KEI proposed the installation of
three monitoring wells. Documentation of tank removal protocol,
soil sample collection techniques, and the analytical results of
the soil samples from the tank excavation are summarized in KEI ' s
report (KEI-J91-0202 .R1) dated April 9 , 1991.
On August 27 , 28 , and 29, 1991, three two-inch diameter monitoring
wells (designed as MW1, MW2 , and MW3 on the attached Site Plan,
Figure 1) were installed at the site. The monitoring wells were
drilled and completed to total depths ranging from 82 to 86 feet
below grade. ate was encountered at depths ranging from
73 to 7,5 n
, feet 'beeath ah surfa
e ' during drilling.
The surface of each well cover was surveyed by Kier & Wright of
Pleasanton, California, to Mean Sea Level (MSL) and to a vertical
accuracy of 0. 01 feet.
The wells were attempted to be developed on September 3 , 1991.
However, field data collected indicated that sand and silt
materials remained in the water within the well casing. The wells
were initially sampled on September 9, 1991.
