I20 June 2001
• AGE-NC Project No 99-0624
' in a south-southeasterly direction Figure 2 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as
measured on 05 June 2001
I
3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' Petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from
MW2 and MW3 at concentrations of 1,000 µg/1 and 66 µg/1, respectively
' Benzene and toluene were detected in the ground water samples from MW-2 (62 µg/1 and 5 4 gg/l,
respectively) and MW-3 (1 4 µg/1 and 0 76 µg/l,respectively) Xylenes were detected in MW2 at a
' concentration of 32 gg/l
Utilizing EPA Method 8260M, MTBE was detected in samples from MW-2 and MW-3 at
' concentrations of 3,800 pg/1 and 21 µg/l, respectively
Analytical results of the ground water samples for the second quarter- 2001 monitoring event are
'• summarized on Table 2 The laboratory report (MAI Laboratory 1D 69130-69133), QA/QC and
chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS
' The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the site investigation
' 0 The average depth to ground water and ground water elevation on 05 June 2001 in
monitoring wells on-site was approximately 51 feet below surface grade and 12 5 feet below
MSL, respectively
' 0 The inferred ground water gradient on 05 June 2001 was calculated to be 0 003 ft/ft towards
the south-southwest
I & TPH-g was detected in ground water samples from monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3, the
highest concentration was detected in the sample collected from MW-2 at 1,000 gg/l, a
significant decline from a high of 8,900 µg/1 detected in May 2000, but is higher than the
March 2000 concentration of 570 µg/1
• Vanous BTEX compounds were detected in the water samples collected from MW-2 and
MW-3, the MW-2 sample had the highest concentrations
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
