INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Pete Graffigna,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Work Plan for investigation of the Flame Mini-Mart located at 1301 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi, <br /> California(Figure 1) The purpose of the preliminary site assessment is to evaluate the vertical and <br /> lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon Impacts in,soil encountered during an investigation <br /> performed prior to removal of underground storage tanks (USTs) and during the removal of USTs <br /> in June 1998 This Work Plan provides the scope of work and procedures to be implemented to <br /> advance for soil probe borings and for soil and groundwater sample collection and analysis, <br /> monitoring well installation and soil boring abandonment <br /> This Work Plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmentai Health Division (PHS-EHD) and was prepared in accordance with the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board's Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary <br /> Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites guidelines for the investigation of UST <br /> sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> r <br /> The site is located at the intersection of West Kettleman Lane and South Ham Lane in Lodi, <br /> California(Figure 1) The parcel is identified by the San Joaquin County Assessor's office as parcel <br /> numbers 031-040-05 and 031-040-60 and is located in the southwest portion of Section 11 of Range <br /> 6 East, Township 3 North, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (MDB&M) <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property is presently occupied by Flame Mini-Mart, which consists of one story-structure mini- <br /> mae structure, gasoline fueling facility and car wash The gasoline fueling facility consists of USTs, <br /> one dispenser island and a canopy The car wash is located along the western portion of the site <br /> 22 PRE-UST REMOVAL ASSESSMENT <br /> 1 <br /> On 09 March 1998, four soil bonngs were advanced near the three then active 10,000-gallon USTs, <br /> dispensers and piping located on the site Soil samples were collected at five-foot intervals Soil <br /> borings were extended to a depth of 25 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br /> • Five soil samples from the area around the then active dispensers and from beneath the north and <br /> Advanced GeoEn,.Eronmentai,Inc <br />
