Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report - April 2006 <br /> FLAME MINI-MART <br />' 1301 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California r <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Pete Graff gna of Flame Minx-Mart,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this report for 1301 West Kettleman Lane,Lodi,California(site) The report documents <br /> an 8-hour soil vapor extraction(SVE)pilot test performed at the site in April 2006 The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Structure, boring and well locations are illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 <br />' The purposes of the 8-hour SVE pilot test were to (1) evaluate SVE technology as a remedial <br /> alternative for this the site, (2) evaluate soil-vapor concentrations (3) determine an effective SVE <br /> radius of influence, and (4) determine most appropriate SVE equipment design <br /> This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Division for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br />' sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in Quarterly Report-Second <br /> Quarter 2005 dated 25 August, prepared by AGE <br />�• 2.0 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION(SVE) PILOT TEST <br /> I On 16 April 2006, an 8-hour SVE pilot test was conducted at the site using vapor well VW-1 <br /> (screened 30 feet to 50 feet)as the extraction well The pilot test was performed to provide SVE data <br /> prior to installation of an interim remediation system The test was conducted utilizing a 2'/2- <br /> horsepower, regenerative vacuum blower manufactured by Fuji, according to the manufacturer <br /> specifications, the vacuum blower under standard conditions was capable of producing a nominal <br /> capacity of 150 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) The inlet of the vacuum blower was <br /> connected to the well-head at VW-I utilizing 2-inch diameter PVC piping The outlet of the vacuum <br /> blower was attached to two 400 pound, vapor-phase activated carbon adsorption canisters <br /> All field work procedures and reporting requirements are in accordance with guidelines issued by <br /> the Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for <br /> subsurface investigation of underground storage tank (UST) system sites <br /> 2 1 SVE PILOT TEST PROCEDURES <br /> The pilot test was initiated at 9 00 AM (0900) and continued for approximately 8 hours till 5 PM <br />' (1700), at which time the test was terminated due to stabilization and adequate data collection <br /> Utilizing the above referenced Fuji vacuum blower,an induced vacuum potential was applied at the <br /> . well-head of vapor well VW-1 Thereafter,the vacuum-induced pressure reduction was monitored <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
