RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends continuation of the quarterly ground <br />' water monitoring program The next monitoring event is scheduled for December 2005 <br /> In accordance with the EHD-approved Site Assessment WorkPlan-Addendum(dated 24 June 2005), <br /> in December 2005 AGE completed the Installation of three (3) ground water monitoring wells and <br /> four (4) soil borings to be converted to soil vapor extraction wells A report of findings for all <br />' upcoming drilling activities will be submitted to the EHD during the first quarter of 2006 <br /> 1 <br /> Ground water batch removal activities were performed at well MW-2 between 18-21 October 2005, <br />' a report of findings was submitted to the EHD on 08 November 2005, in accordance with the EHD <br /> directive letter dated 12 August 2005 for performance of two (2), separate batch removal events, <br /> AGE has tentatively scheduled a batch removal event from well MW-2 for January 2006 <br />' Ground water batch removal could be Improved with the installation of a ground water extraction <br /> well near well MW-2 AGE has previously proposed the well Installation of a ground water <br />' extraction well in the November 2004 Site Assessment Work Plan AGE recommends the Installation <br /> of the ground water extraction well at well MW-2 and Implementation of an Interim ground water <br /> extraction remediation to mitigate the off-site migration of the dissolved MTBE The State Water <br />' Resource Control Board document Guidelines For Investigation and Cleanup of MTBE and Other <br /> Ether-Based Oxygenates,dated 27 March 2000,directs that"Removing MTBE from the subsurface <br /> at high concentrations is much more cost effective than extracting ground water or vapor with low <br />' concentrations" Further more,the documents states" aggressive Interim remediation in the source <br /> area can help to diminish the changes of creating a large dilute plume of MTBE" <br />' 6.0.
