' Site Background Information <br /> nformation <br />' FLAME MINI-MART <br /> 1301 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California <br /> tBACKGROUND <br />' The site is located at the northwest intersection of West Kettleman Lane and South Ham Lane in <br /> Lodi,California(Figure 1) The parcel is identified by the San Joaquin County Assessor's office as <br /> parcel numbers 031-040-05 and 031-040-60 and is located in the southwest portion of Section 11 <br />' of Range 6 East,Township 3 North,Mount Diablo Base and Meridian(Lodi South Quadrangle,7 5- <br /> Minute USGS Topographic Series 1968, photo revised 1976) <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br />' The property is presently occupied by Flame Mini-Mart, which consists of one story mini-mart <br /> structure, gasoline faeling facility and a car wash The gasoline fueling facility consists of three <br /> 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks(USTs), two fuel dispenser islands and a canopy The car <br />' wash is located along the western portion of the site <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br />' Three 10,000-gallon USTs were removed from the site in June 1998 and replaced with three new <br /> 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs Soil samples were collected from beneath each UST,dispenser island <br /> and from the excavated soil The samples were transported to a DHS-certified laboratory and <br />' analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), volatile aromatic <br /> compounds(benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene and total xylenes BTEX),fuel oxygenating compounds <br /> (MTBE, TAME, DIPS, ETBE and TBA) and total lead in accordance with the appropriate EPA <br />' Methods <br /> No TPH-g or BTEX compounds were detected in soil samples collected beneath the former USTs <br />' or dispenser island However, MTBE and TBA were detected beneath the south ends of UST nos <br /> 2 and 3 and concentrations as high as 9 8 mg/kg and 31 mg/kg,respectively, MTBE and TBA were <br /> detected beneath the north end of UST no 3 at concentrations of 0 48 mg/kg and 0 9 mg/kg, <br /> respectively Xylene was detected at 0 012 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg)in one sample collected <br /> beneath the former dispenser island Low concentrations of xylenes were also detected in samples <br /> collected from the excavated (stockpiled) soil The stockpiled soil was transported off-site for <br />' disposal with approval from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> PREVIOUS SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> The following is a brief summary of site assessment activities <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
