PROCEDURES
Seven monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-7) were monitored, purged and sampled in August
' 2004 Field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring wells and Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of
' underground storage tank (UST) sites
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND PURGE PROCEDURES
' On 12 August 2004 the depth to ground water in the seven monitoring wells was measured from the
top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter, ground water
elevations for each well were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the
' surveyed casing elevation (Table 1) After water levels were measured, approximately 3 0 to 4 0
gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes per well) were purged from monitoring
wells MW-1 through MW-6 and approximately 16 0 gallons of water were removed from well
' MW-7 using a Watera hydrolift pump and dedicated tubing Ground water temperature, pH and
conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer
Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B Purged water was stored in properly labeled
' Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved SS-gallon drums and stored on-site
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
