i }
1
• 15 December 2004
AGE-NC Project No 99-0624
' 3 2' ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF'GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5 at a maximum
' concentration of 7,500 µg/1,respectively Benzene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were only detected in
the samples collected from well MW-2 at concentrations of 18 gg/l, 4 3 µg/1 and 10 µg/l,
respectively
IThe fuel additive MTBE was detected in samples from wells MW-1 through MW-3, MW-5 and
MW-7 at a maximum concentration of 6,000 gg/1 (MW-2) TAME was detected in samples MW-2
and MW-3 at concentrations of 27 µg/1 and 5 8 µg/l,respectively No other constituents of concern
were detected above laboratory reporting limits in the analyzed samples Previous and current
analytical results of ground water monitoring well samples are summarized in Table 1 The
' laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0408094) and chain of custody forms are presented in
Appendix C GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted laboratory EDF files are included in
Appendix D
' • 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this investigation
' • The depth to ground water at the site was between 57 20 feet and 58 22 feet btoc, the
calculated ground water elevation was between 18 79 and 19 23 feet below MSL
' • Ground water flow direction in the area of wells MW-1 through MW-6 was inferred to be
towards the south-southeast at an approximate gradient of 0 003 ft/ft Due to the low
hydraulic gradient at the site, slight variations in ground water measurements or changes of
' recharge/discharge of the local ground water could greatly modify the inferred ground water
flow direction
' • TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5 at a
maximum concentration of 7,500 µg/1
i
• Benzene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were only detected in the samples collected from well
' MW-2 at concentrations of 18 µg/l, 4 3 µg/1 and 10 µg/l, respectively
• The fuel additive MTBE was detected in samples from wells MW-1 through MW-3 and
' MW-7 at a maximum concentration of 6,000 µg/1(MW-2), and TAME was present in wells
MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations of 27 gg/1 and 5 8 gg/l, respectively
• The concentrations of benzene and MTBE are above their respective, DHS-established
' Maximum Contaminant Levels in drinking water
' Advanced GeoEnvrronmental,inc
i
r, 1
