SECTION IV. <br /> FINDINGS <br /> The Limited Phase II was performed in order to evaluate recognized environmental conditions <br /> (RECs) identified by review of documents provided to PEI. This addendum expanded the <br /> original scope of the investigation to focus on areas found to be impacted by analytes of <br /> interest (VOCs, TPH-ccid) from the initial Phase II performed by PEI. <br /> Groundwater movement has been calculated to be (generally) from east to west (Figure 3). <br /> The analytical results of testing soil matrix samples from 8 soil borings (31 samples) for VOCs <br /> and TPH-ccid (Appendix B) shows that those analytes were not detected in any soil matrix <br /> sample tested. <br /> Laboratory testing results for groundwater samples (SB-1 to SB-7) are summarized below in <br /> Table 1 (Groundwater Sample Results). <br /> Based upon the scope of work performed and the data collected, PEI's findings are generally <br /> summarized as follows: the groundwater beneath and adjacent to the septic system(including <br /> the leach field) has been impacted by petroleum-related compounds above California <br /> Department of Public Health (CDPH) drinking water Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) <br /> for benzene (1 µg/L) and 1,2-dichloropropane (5 µg/L).
