Box 8509 <br /> San Jose, California 95155 <br /> RE: 99 Shell SITE CODE: 003732 <br /> 7700 Moreland Court <br /> Stockton, CA 95212 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br /> has reviewed the analytical results of the soil samples collected beneath the piping that <br /> was repaired on July 31, 2000. <br /> Based on the levels of contaminants present in the samples collected, further <br /> investigation to determine the extent of the soil and/or groundwater contamination is <br /> required. <br /> An "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (Leak)/Contaminated Site <br /> Report" has been filed pursuant to Section 25295 of the Health and Safety Code <br /> (HSC). The appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge pursuant to Section <br /> 25180.7 of the HSC has been made, and the site has been placed on the list of <br /> contaminated sites in San Joaquin County which is maintained by PHS/EHD. <br /> PHS/EHD under contract with the State of California Water Resources Control Board <br /> (SWRCB) oversees the investigation and remediation of contamination from leaking <br /> underground storage tanks and their associated piping. Responsible parties must take <br /> corrective action in response to an unauthorized release, in compliance with Section <br /> 25299.37 of the HSC and Corrective Action Regulations adopted pursuant to Section <br /> 25299.77 of the HSC. <br /> PHS/EHD uses the SWRCB "Prioritization System for Leaking Underground Storage <br /> Tank Sites" to prioritize all the contaminated sites. You will be directed to begin the <br /> required investigation, based upon the priority ranking of the site and PHS/EHD staff <br /> availability. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
