C A M B R I A
L LF'i f 28
December 27, 2000
Mr. Vidal Pedraza
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Soil Sampling Report
Shell-branded Service Station
7700 Moreland Court
Stockton, California
SAP Code 136146
Dear Mr. Pedraza:
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc., prepared this report on behalf of Equiva Services
LLC (Equiva) to document field activities during a product piping repair project at the above
referenced site (Figures 1 & 2). Cambria performed inspections and soil sampling associated
with the repair of the product piping near the northwestern fuel dispensers.
SITE CONDITIONS
The site is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Moreland Court and
Hammer Lane in an agricultural/residential area of Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2).
The site is an active Shell-branded service station with a layout including a station building, a
waste oil tank, two dispenser islands, and underground fuel storage tanks (USTs).
A leak was detected in the product piping between the USTs and the northwestern dispenser.
Upon inspection of the leaking pipe, it was found that the leak had been contained by the
secondary containment piping, resulting in no spill to the environment. The secondary
containment system routed the leaking fuel back to the USTs. An Equiva contractor (LC
Services) performed the piping repair work.
Oakland, CA SAMPLING ACTIVITIES AND SAMPLE ANALYSES
San Ramon, CA
Sonoma, CA
Two soil samples were collected in the vicinity of the northwestern dispenser island on July
Cambria 31, 2000. One soil sample (DP-4) was collected from native soil (approximately four feet
Environmental below grade) beneath the product piping, and a second soil sample (SP) was collected of the
Technology, Inc.
stockpiled material that had been removed from the excavation. Soil sampling activities
270 Perkins Street were performed under the direction of an SJCPHS/EHD representative.
P.O.Box 259
Sonoma,CA 95476
Tel(707)935-4850
Fax(707)935-6649
