k'4 KLEINFELDER
2.0 BA(MMOUND
Kleinfelder has conducted a preacquisition site assessment for Coca Cola
of property located on E1 Pinal Drive in Stockton, California. Through
agency contacts, it was found that the Kearney-KPF site, to the north of
the site is included on the Department of Health Services (DOHS) Bond
Acquisition list and subsequently on the Nation Priority List (NPL) .
Kearney KPF operates a silver and chromium plating plant. Until 1985,
process waste waters were discharged to ponds on-site. A hydrogeologic
assessment of this site conducted in 1986, revealed the presence of metals
in soil and organic solvents in the ground water.
Based on this study, and conversations with Gary Reents of the RWQ , the
Coca Cola site is believed to be up gradient from Kearney KPF. However,
laboratory analysis of the ground water on-site are desired to directly
indicate the site water quality.
2.1 Geological Background
2.1.1 Topography
The El Pinal Business Park is located in the California Trough section of
the Pacific Boarder physiographic province.
