Inc. (AGE) is providing this brief summary of
investigation and excavation work completed at 3127 East Fremont.Street, Stockton, California,
Attached arc copies of all pertinent docurnentation collected by-AGE ba reference to the investigation
and excavation at the site. It is our understanding that the summary and documentation is being
requested as part of a property txansfer,
AGE's investigation of the property included the excavation of soil and fill material, advancement
i iuld sampling of several sail borings, and the removal of one underground storage tank(UST). The
following information is provided for your consideration:
Approximately 300 cubic yards of debris-laden fill material were excavated froom tine central
portion of the site in May 1999. The soil was excavated to investiate the presence of a
basement beneath an abandoned truck repair facility, Upon excavation of the basement, the
floor was found to be in good condition. Small amounts of hydrocarbon-impacted soil were
encountered sporadically during the excavation_However,it was determined that no obvious,
significant impact to soil was piesent . It is our understanding that the soil was then-placed
back into the excavation and compacted. It appeared that upon cicmoli tion of the former truck
repair facility (prior to youx ownership of the property),some,of the demolition debris was
utilized for backfill,
Several soil borings were advanced throughout the facility,,incl.uding the area of the former,
twderground storage tanks near the western portion of the property, in July 1999. No
significant impacts to soil or groundwater were encountered..
An underground storage tank was discovered along the north side of the candy store building
(southern portion of the parcel). The UST was removedunder permit from the San Joaquin
CountyEnivironmenial Health Department(SJCFHD)in August 1999.No significant impact
I
i •
837 Sbaw Road,Stockton.
