These samples were also analyzed for TPH-G,MTBE,and BTEX
d , constituents by the Chroma laboratory and laboratory results are presented in Appendix C.
Presented in Table 2 are the laboratory results.
_- 4.0 FINDINGS
r- 4.1 Strati"a h
In general disturbed and/or fill soils were encountered overlying Quaternary Alluvial deposits at this
site. Disturbed and/or fill soils consisted of dry to moist, dark gray, clayey gravel with sand and silts.
+ Quaternary Alluvial deposits consisted of three general soil types. The upper one to two feet of these
r materials consisted of lean silts with carbonates and some roots. Underlying these materials (to a
r .
maximum depth of approximately eight fbg) were light brown fine sandy silts or silty fine sands.
At approximately eight fbg, dark gray brown to dark gray, silty sands and sandy silts with dark
organic debris were observed.
4.2 Soil Sample Analyses
Soil samples were collected at the margins of the excavation to verify the remedial removals and to
3
assess the site. On the basis of field and laboratory analyses the great majority of hydrocarbon-
affected soil was excavated and removed from the site. TPH-G concentrations detected in four
excavation sidewall and bottom samples. SS#3 @ 7 fbg(1.0 mg/kg), SS#9 @ 5 fbg(1.1 mg/kg),and
CAPROJECTS120-04451ENRP02. M
