Tri-Star Homes, Michael Gallager page 2
2075 f"ieldview Dr., Tracy
petroleum concentration levels. In order to compl to the site assessment and verify the
groundwater petroleum concentrations, PHS-EHD will review the workplan for the
placement of the monitoring wells. This workplan should be submitted by October 31,
1997.
If you want to continue the investigation with reco mendations from PHS-EHD, please
provide written notification to our agency of your intentions by October 1, 1997.
At_the completion of the site assessment, a respo Bible party that requests PHS-EHD
oversight for remediation of the soil and/or groun water will be required to enter into a
written agreement with PHS-EHD as outlined in legislation SB-1248 (enclosed).
Currently, investigations at contaminated groundwater UGT sites require the laboratory
analyses for at least five (5) oxygenates by EPA ethod 8260, in addition to analyses
performed in during the preliminary assessment or UGT removal(s). PHS-EHD is
following this UGT recommendation and will require that the oxygenates listed in the
enclosed CVRWQCB memo be included in the continuing site assessment. 4
hope this clears up the options available to your garding the UGT investigation and #
remediation at this farm UGT site. Please contact Michael infurna, Senior RENS, at 1
1
(209) 468-3454 should you have any questions or wish to discuss the site.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael Infurna Jr., Senior REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
MI/
enclosures
c: Jonathan Goodmacher- Construction Testing & Engineering, Inc., 2414
Vineyard Ave. Suite G Escondido CA. 92029
(w/o enclosure)
