Kloberdanz.&;Associates submitted a work,_plan_for_,add_itional <br /> -" subsur ace investigation and excavation and dis osal of the contaminated soil in the <br /> source area. In their letter dated January 27, 2003 SJEHD approved the work plan with <br /> the following conditions relating to the monitoring well installations: <br /> • Location of the monitoring wells must be moved closer to the source area. <br /> • SJCIEHD recommends continuous coring of the deeper boring in order to screen i <br /> the monitoring well in an appropriate water bearing zone. <br /> • San Joaquin County Well Standards must be adhered to when building the wells. <br /> • Soil sampling should be attempted at all pre-determined sampling points. <br /> i <br /> • Soil sample analysis must include oxygenates, 1,2-dichloroethane and ethylene <br /> dibromide. <br /> The December 2002 scope of work addressing the installation of the two monitoring <br /> wells will incorporate the recommendations of the SJEHD. M.J. Kloberdanz & <br /> Associates has scheduled the monitoring well installation f6vApril-28"1604 <br /> This-phase of drilling will be used to help determine the apparent lateral extent of the-soil- <br /> LL <br /> contamination in the northeast direction from the original UST excavation. Additional <br /> borings can be conducted, if necessary, if contaminated soil is encountered during j <br /> drilling.
