' Pombo Property
Soil & Groundwater Sampling
detectable for similar contaminants. This may be an indication that the lateral limits of
the contamination are not extensive.
' Additional soil borings with the Geoprobe® are suggested for the areas indicated on the
Figure 4 Proposed Boring Location Map. These borings will be used to determine the
' lateral limits of the soil and groundwater contamination associated with the former
underground tanks. The borings will be drilled to a minimum of 20 feet bgs with soil
sampling conducted below the water table to determine the vertical depth of the
contaminants. Sampling protocol and Health and Safety will be followed as described in
our August 3, 1998 Work Plan. Information obtained from this additional phase of work
will us help determine the type of cleanup most feasible for this site.
The contaminant concentrations detected in thesam roundwater les exceed the
g p
established regulatory limits for groundwater in the Tracy area. It is the recommendation
of M.J. Kloberdanz and Associates that copies of this report should be forwarded to the
San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health and the Central Valley
' Regional Water Quality Control Board. It is the responsibility of the property owner to
ensure that all proper notifications are conducted.
' The above represents our best professional opinion as to environmental conditions at this
site. These opinions were derived using data at hand, and standards of care common to
the environmental consulting community in Northern California. There is the possibility
' that even with proper application of the above methodologies, there may exist on the
subject property conditions that could not be identified within the scope of this
assessment or which were not reasonably identifiable from the available information.
The methodologies included in this report are not intended to produce all inclusive or
comprehensive results, but rather to provide the client with information regarding
apparent suspicions of existing and potential adverse environmental conditions relating to
' the subject property. Additional work at this site may generate data that could lead to a
change of opinion regarding conditions or appropriate remediation procedures or both.
? t,AD G
Prepared by: C GriSlCIFp
ROBERT HOU u'—r
ccNo.1
Ea<p
GEoLo
' Robert Fourt, CHG plr G
California Certified Hydrogeologist # 180
' Michael J.
