Byron Rd., Tracy Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (8, 20, 23, 30, 50) <br /> 8. The EPA ID number for this facility (CAL000068697) has been inactive since June 30, 2003. A <br /> generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport, or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without <br /> having an active EPA identification number. Immediately renew the current EPA ID number for this <br /> facility, or obtain a new number from the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). Submit a <br /> copy of the application sent to DTSC, to the EHD within 30 days (9/11/10). <br /> 20. A vacuum pump containing used oil was observed without a label. All containers of hazardous <br /> waste shall be labeled with the following: <br /> 1) Words 'Hazardous waste' <br /> 2) Generator name & address <br /> 3) Accumulation start date <br /> 4) Contents <br /> 5) Physical state <br /> 6) Hazardous properties <br /> Immediately label all containers of hazardous waste with the required information. <br /> 23. Seven used oil filters were observed in an open, unlabeled container. Per facility contact, they have <br /> been on site several years. Drained used oil filters shall be accumulated, stored, and transferred in a <br /> closed, rainproof container that is capable of containing any used oil that may separate from the filters <br /> placed inside. Containers shall be labeled as "drained used oil filters" (not as hazardous waste) and <br /> show initial date of accumulation on each container of filters. Filters shall not be stored on site for <br /> greater than one year. Disposal records for used oil filters shall be maintained on site for a minimum of <br /> three years. Immediately place these filters in an appropriate, properly labeled container and have <br /> disposed of by a licensed hauler. Submit a copy of the disposal receipt to the EHD within 30 days <br /> (9/11/10). <br /> 30. Three empty 55 gallon drums previously used for used oil were observed without empty labels. Per <br /> facility contact, no waste has been stored in them for several years. A container larger than five gallons <br /> in capacity which has previously held a hazardous waste or hazardous material shall be marked as <br /> empty with the date it was emptied, and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately <br /> manage these containers in accordance with Title 22 regulations.
