Benzene
and methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE) soil gas concentrations exceeded the residential and
commercial Environmental Screening Levels(ESLs) established by the San Francisco Bay
Regional Water Quality Control Board and the California Human Health Screening Levels
(CHHSLs)established by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment for the
California Environmental Protection Agency; also modeling using the Department of Toxic
Substances Control version of the Johnson and Ettinger Model indicate that the cancer risks
exceed one in one million. Please submit a boring permit application and pemmitt inspection fee
of$488 to the EHD and complete the fieldwork involving the collection of soil gas samples from
boreholes SV1 through SV3 by 16 March 2011.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartney(a-)sicehd.com
From: Dinesh Rao [mailto:dinesh@amiadini.com]
Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2010 4:44 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: 'Ami Adini'; 'Gabriele Baader'
Subject: FrontierTransport_p01_HHRA Results
Dear Ms. McCartney:
Ami Adini & Associates.
