This matter is
closed.
• The report titled Limited Groundwater Investigation Report has been reviewed. Based on the results, our
department will be sending a letter stating that no additional borings are needed since only about 50 uglL
of MTBE was detected in groundwater collected from borehole B8. The letter will state that our department
recommends that the new monitoring well be installed near B8.
• Concerning the collection of soil gas samples, I will be sending a letter to the responsible party
informing him that based on the findings from the Human Health Risk Assessment using soil gas
concentrations collected in January 2000, our department is directing that additional soil gas samples be
collected from the three soil gas borings approved by this department by letter dated 11 October 2010. As
stated in my e-mail to Dinesh Rao on 31 December 2010,AA&A can proceed and submit a boring permit
application and permit/inspection fee of$488 for the collection of the soil gas samples.
• I have reviewed the CAP and have discussed the CAP with our geologist, Nuel Henderson. Nuel needs
more time to review the CAP and is not able to give a date for when you can expect to receive a response
to the proposal to employ HVDPE to remediate the Frontier Transportation site at 425 Larch Road in Tracy,
California.
am in the process of drafting a letter to the responsible party that will address the items listed in this e-
mail. Although I hope to complete the letter by tomorrow, the letter still must go through a review process that can
take several weeks. If you need additional information. please do not hesitate to contact me.
Also, I denied the Site Conceptual Model, Groundwater Investigation Work Plan -March 2010, Domestic Well
Sampling Work Plan, and Groundwater Monitoring Report-Fourth Quarter 2009, in GeoTracker. These
reports have not been revised and resubmitted to GeoTracker. Will you please tell me when this will be
completed?
Thank you.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccaTtnev@sjcehd.com
From: Ami Adini [mailto:amia@amiadini.com]
Sent: Friday, January 07, 2011 12:18 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: Paul A.
