W • Page 1 of
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Mike Cassidy [mikec@winefieldassoc.com]
Sent: Tuesday, September 01, 2009 10:17 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: PaulZumberge@osterkampgrp.com; Gus Osterkamp
Subject: Proposed interim remedial action
Ms. McCartney:
I sat down with Paul Zumberge and Gus Osterkamp from Frontier yesterday and discussed our options at the
site.
As a result of that discussion, I would like to propose mobilizing a mobile dual-phase extraction unit to the site on
a quarterly basis to remediate gasoline contamination in the source area. The unit would operate for eight hours
once a quarter. The unit has a various locations permit. Impacted groundwater would be stored onsite in a
storage tank and then transported to an approved facility for disposal.
This proposed action would both begin remediation of hydrocarbons from the source area, and provide us with
some of the data that would be provided by a pilot study. We propose that this interim remedial action continue
on a quarterly basis until the fund begins reimbursing again.
I also just left you a voice mail message regarding this subject.
Please call me when you have an opportunity to discuss this proposal.
Thank you
Mike Cassidy, PG, CHG, REA II
Branch Manager - Senior Geologist
Winefield and Associates
303 West Katella Avenue, Suite 300
Orange Ca, 92867
Office: (714) 532-5777
Fax: (714) 532-5877
Cell: (949) 606-4304
f
This email communication may contain CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WHICH ALSO MAY BE LEGALLY
PRIVILEGED and is intended only for the use of the intended recipients identified above. If you are not the intended
recipient of this communication, you are hereby notified that any unauthorized review, use, dissemination, distribution,
downloading,or copying of this communication is strictly prohibited.
