Mistakenly,we referred to the groundwater elevation as depth to groundwater. You are
correct in your findings.
We probably don't need to screen from 4 to 20 feet bgs. But,we still need a few feet of screening above the water
table to lift the water during extraction. I am thinking we may design the well screening from 6 to 20 feet bgs.
I will run this by our PG and Principal and get back to you.
Have a good weekend.
Dinesh Rao
Ami Adini &Associates
714 538 0226
From: Vicki McCartney [EH] [mailto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Friday, May 20, 20111:36 PM
To: Dinesh Rao
Subject: Addendum to CAP for Frontier Transportation
Dinesh:
I have a question concerning the Addendum to Corrective Action Plan (Addendum), dated 18 April 2011, for the
Frontier Transportation site located at 425 West Larch Road in Tracy, California. In the Addendum, AA&A states
that"Between September 2006 and October 2010, the groundwater level fluctuated between 4.87 feet below
ground surface (bgs)and 7.52 feet bgs in monitoring well MW3R." I checked and the depth to groundwater
(DTW) in MW3R was between 9.5 and 12.15 feet bgs between September 2006 and October 2010. Please
review the groundwater data and let me know whether AA&A still proposes the dual-phase extraction wells to be
screened between 4 and 20 feet bgs.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartneyCeusiceh_d OM
5/23/2011
