Facility in Redwood City.
From now on, we want to pretreat the well water through granular activated carbon such that we remove
gasoline contaminants (such as MTBE and TBA) and be able to release the water into the sewer facility.
Please look at the analytical report and confirm that there are not any other constituents in the water
(besides gasoline components)that may concern you.
Right now I am looking for the suppliers of GACs in the Tracy area. Do you know anyone?
I have not had any water treatment project in Tracy. Should I go through any permitting process to
operate the water pretreatment system at this site?
Sincerely,
S. Javad Masoudi, P.E.
EnviroMonitming Services, Inc.
23011 Moulton Parkway, Suite B-14
Laguna Hills, CA 92653
Ph: (949) 768-6210
Fax: (949) 770-8128
From: Erich Delmas [mailto:erich.delmas@ci.tracy.ca.us]
Sent: Monday, December 01, 2014 1:02 PM
To: 'Javad Masoudi'
Cc: DZumberge@hotmail.com; Vicki McCartney; GOsterkamp@osterkampgrp.com; Kuldeep Sharma; 'Marshall,
James@Waterboards'
Subject: RE: Frontier Sampling
Javad—The laboratory report detected Methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE)and Ethyl tert-butyl ether(ETBE). MTBE
and ETBE are common in monitoring wells where underground fuel storage tanks exist now or did in the past.
We cannot accept untreated wastewater from these wells.
In 2011, Frontier established an on-site treatment facility to strip out the MTBE and ETBE before discharging to
the City collection system. I will be happy to assist you in permitting a pretreatment facility if you wish to
proceed with discharging the ground water to our facility.
Respectfully,
Erich Delmas
12/18/2014
