i
. Report of Findings
Frontier Transportation
0200-024
March 3, 2000
Page 5
temperature, and conductivity) were measured before, during, and after well purging (See
Appendix D for Groundwater Parameters). Groundwater samples were analyzed for TPH-d,
TPH-g, TPH-m (total petroleum hydrocarbons as motor oil), BTEX, and MTBE using EPA
' methods 8015 modified for diesel, 8015 modified for gasoline, SOl 5 modified for motor oil, 8020
for BTEX, and 8260 to confirm MTBE, respectively. Laboratory analysis results for all
' monitoring episodes are presented in Table 1. Groundwater laboratory analytical reports are
included as Appendix E.
' Groundwater collected from all monitoring wells identified dissolved TPH-d and TPH-m
concentrations in monitoring well MW-3, exclusively, as 33,000 l.tg/L using EPA method 8015.
All other monitoring wells identified no detectable (<50 p&/L) dissolved TPH-d and TPH-m
' concentrations.
In addition, laboratory analysis of groundwater samples identified no detectable
concentrations (<50 µg/L) of dissolved TPH-g in MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7<
MW-8, MW-9, MW-10, and MW-1 1 using EPA method 8015 modi#ied.
SGroundwater collected from monitoring well MW-3, exclusively, identified dissolved
TPH-g concentrations as 3,700 µgfL in January 2000.
' Monitoring well MW-3 identified no change in dissolved TPH-g concentrations since
November 1999.
TPH-g concentrations attenuated to X50 Ftg/L in MW-1 from 7 10 µg11 identified in
November 1999. No other well identified detectable dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon
' concentrations in November 1999. Please see Figure 7 for TPH-g isoconcentration map.
No detectable concentrations of dissolved BTEX were identified in groundwater samples
' collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9,
MW-10, and MW-11 using EPA method 8020 in January 2000.
Groundwater analyzed from well MW-3 identified total dissolved BTEX as 571 pg/L in
January 2000, an increase from 496 µg/1 identified in November 1999. No other well identified
detectable dissolved BTEX concentrations in November 1999.
Total dissolved BTEX concentrations in MW-1 attenuated 99% from 1.19 µg/L in
1 November 1999 to present.
i
