rr <br /> L SUMMARY REPORT <br /> SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> at <br /> i <br /> PITTS PROPERTY <br /> �-, 203 SOUTH LINCOLN STREET <br /> MANTECA, CALIFORNIA <br /> 'i <br /> I <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> i <br /> This report summarizes procedures and practices utilized by Smith Technology Corporation <br /> �'(acquired by ATC Associates) to investigate potential soil and <br /> ; groundwater contamination <br /> associated with the former underground storage tank (UST) located''at 203 South Lincoln Street, <br /> Manteca, California. The investigation was completed in two phases and consisted of drilling <br /> seven soil borings, installing one groundwater monitoring well, and collecting soil and <br /> groundwater samples for analysis. <br /> 1.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located on the west side of.South Lincoln Streetlli'Wd north of Moffat Boulevard in <br /> Manteca, California, as shown on Figure 1. The location is a residential and commercial area. <br /> The site is currently occupied by Mrs. Mary Helen Pitts. <br /> 1.2 Site Background and Previous Work <br /> In April 1986, one 350-gallon gasoline UST and associated piping were removed from the <br /> approximate location shown on Figure 2 i �' <br /> pp gu Aso 1 sample was collected from the bottom of the <br /> excavation. Analytical testing indicated the collected sample contained detectable concentrations <br /> F <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. The excavation was subsequently backfilled. <br /> it <br /> Smith Technology was retained by Mrs. Mary Pitts to perform a subsurface investigation at the <br /> site.
